We got’im!

January 2003

How can someone who claims to be a human being bet on a dictator? How can an Arab be insulted by the capture of one of the most horrific dictators ever. Being an Arab means being chivalrous, polite, charitable. The only thing that this Arab Knight, Saddam Hussein, used during his reign was his sword.

Can anyone imagine the stench of a mass grave? People say that Iraq needs a ruler who is rough and tough but massacring innocent people is just ridiculous.

Human life is something we should cherish and preserve regardless of Pan-Arabism, pride or dignity. How can an Iraqi citizen live a dignified life with the constant fear of someone putting a bag over his head and throwing him in the back of a car?

The American invasion/liberation of Iraq, regardless of what it has installed to the Arab Nation (a word that has resurfaced lately) the final and most important part of the story is that Saddam is no longer there to scare people in their sleep.

During Saddam’s reign, if one happens to be passing by “one” of his presidential palaces, he/she had to look the

opposite way.

When it comes to deposing Saddam, people frustration of their own governments has lead them to transfer this disappointment to Iraq, as they thought that they might regain some of their lost self-esteem.

The Iraqi people can no longer live under the tyranny and oppression of a family of butchers who whimsically

killed anyone, just to preserve the dignity of the Arabs.

It is time for us to leave the Iraqis either alone to mourn or to celebrate the invasion/liberation of Iraq. In the final analysis, Saddam reign of terror has ended and that is what counts.
