AUB Syria Alumni holds fund-raising dinner for scholarship

DAMASCUS -The AUB Alumni Association in Syria said it is due to hold its fund-raising dinner that will be held on Dec. 13.  Proceeds of the dinner will go to the Syrian Alumni Scholarship Fund that sponsors the education of “qualified and needy Syrian students.”

“We are grateful for AUB Alumni and friends who made this possible with their generosity,” the Alumni said in a statement.

“In continuation of what has become a tradition, we have the honor to invite you to the Third Annual Alumni Dinner on 13 December 2003,” the statement said.

“The event will take place in Khan Assaad Pasha, and guests include AUB President John Waterbury, along with distinguished graduates, former students, professors, students and their parents and friends of AUB,” it added.
