The world witnessed one of the biggest protests in the modern history as several millions took to the streets in mid February protesting a potential aggression against Iraq. Meanwhile, America and Britain seemed set to go to war. By the time this publication went to press, analysts estimated that war was set to happen in mid March.

Student Jewish clubs in Queens University of Ontario, Canada, were shut down on charge of recruiting Jewish students to join the Israeli military. Alternative's correspondent wrote that the Canadian law prohibits that any country recruit from among Canadian citizens for emigration or military drafting.

After millions of people against war on Iraq took to the streets in mid February, there were no similar massive protests in March.

 

The second intifada comes to end as Palestinian officials strike security deals

Political analysts argue that the second intifada is now over thanks to the Palestinian fear that a war on Iraq would divert world attention from any possible atrocities that the Israelis might want to inflict on them during a potential war in the region.
