Secularism dies
By Ali Hassan Salameh

NEW YORK: British historian David Irving was
jailed for three years by an Austrian court yesterday, despite
finally admitting the reality of the Nazi Holocaust and the
existence of gas chambers after a career spent denying both.
This is just plain ridiculous and stupid on
many counts:
1. It will strengthen all the holocaust
deniers, they are gonna go from being a fringe group of idiots
that everyone laughs at, to becoming a more mainstream group
of radicals that people take a bit more seriously since now
they have a martyr and a hero who has suffered. And since he
has suffered, then surely there is something to what he says
that must be true.
2. It will strengthen all the radical anti-semetic
theories in
Europe
about the Jews ruling the world, meaning more anti-Semitism,
which is something that is the worst for Palestinians. It
unites Zionists more together, and gives people more reason to
believe that Zionism is right, since Europe and Christian
societies are all anti-semitic. Joseph Massad’s forthcoming
book discusses this idea, and talks about how there can be no
end to Zionism and the conflict in Israel/Palestine unless
anti-Semitism is defeated, so that Jews no longer feel they
are hated all over the world, and have a reason to oppress
Palestinians to keep their own homeland.
3. It will give radicals in the Muslim world a
reason to continue burning embassies, boycotting Lurpack and
exaggerating about how much they love Mohammad. Now it is
plain to them that Europeans only like Jews and protect them
but hate Muslims.
Thankfully, we are living in an age, where
thousands of years of advance in liberal secular thinking
across the world is being undone, as we return to the medieval
ages: from Bush to Ahmedinajad to
Sharon to confused Europeans and millions of misinformed
Muslims. We are reverting all together back to the 11th
century. Secularists like us are becoming a dying breed.
